TVOY DOM
Tvoy Dom style-hypermarkets symbolize a new generation in the shopping experience. Offering an inventory of hundreds of thousands of branded lines, the stores offer Russian consumers unparalleled retail depth and breadth — from building and landscaping materials, through to interior design and lifestyle in its broadest sense.
The first 66 000 sq. m Tvoy Dom style-hypermarket on Kashirshoye highway was opened in Moscow 1998. Despite the immense financial crises at the time, the store was an immediate success — there was no other facility capable of providing busy Muscovites with anywhere near the same convenience and choice. It was thus only natural when a second 55 000 sq. m hypermarket arrived soon after, this time at the intersection of the MKAD Ring Road and Volokolamskoye highway. This development was the first in Crocus Group’s signature Crocus City project.
Today, the two Tvoy Dom hypermarkets bring the Group a net profit of $30 million. Crocus is looking to increase their market presence further with ambitious expansion plans. In the next few years, the Group intends to open at least two more Tvoi Dom stores on the edge of Moscow; and, in 2008, to unveil the first Tvoi Dom regional retail center in Voronezh. This 80 000 sq. m center represents a $70 m investment by the company, and will eventually be followed by similar projects in St Petersburg, Ekaterinburg and Rostov. |
